Loic Lemeur was there and just announced he was leaving SixApart for new adventures...

Vanksen Group headquarter moved to a new 900m2 office in Luxembourg
I am really happy to announced that to cope with its exploding growth (from 18 employee to 58 in less than a year), Vanksen Group (Legitiname + Vanksen/Culture-Buzz + BuzzParadise) teams have just moved to brand new offices in Luxembourg. More than 900m2 are now available and should let us be able to hire many more people...

Invited as a VIP for the SecondLife launch of Jean-Paul Gaultier new perfume launch
Jean-Paul Gaultier has just launched his new flagrance "Fleur du Mâle" through a VIP event in SecondLife. I was one of the lucky 50 selected VIP invited to access their new area in SL before everyone else... Interesting experience leaded by my friends Galienni and Fanny.

Vanksen in the International Herald Tribune
Thanks to the International Herald Tribune for their latest article regarding the ArcelorMittal webTV we launched few months ago. I really think this is an amazing project and a very innovative iniative for a company this size (330.000 employees worlwide!) and in such a field (steel industry).
One of the key success factors are the real involvement of Arcelor Mittal management and their acceptance for real openness and potential critics.
As mention Troy Bankhead, our director managing the project in Luxembourg. "We don't censor it ...We allow all the clips. When you see the episode about the automobile sector in the U.S., the employees are saying that they are worried about clients going. You hear plant workers say they are worried about their jobs."
There is always room for improvements and the great feedback from employee, management and media is a strong motivator to improve this video blog day after day...
Invited to speak at "La Pub & Le Beau Temps" TV Show
Thanks to François Kermoal (who is Chief Redactor of the number One Advertising Magazine in France: Strategies, too) to have invited me to speak during the last edition of his TV show "La Pub et le le beau temps". I had the pleasure to be there with Geoges Mohammed Cherif from BuzzMan, one of our very creative competitor (have a look at their latest provocative video for Choc Magazine using the "Delarue Scandal"). Off course since it is TV it was easier to only talk on the creative part of the Word of Mouth Marketing industry and it was maybe not the best place to explain the buzz via opinion leaders and consumers advocates... However it is nice to see that French Media cover more and more the "buzz-viral-blog marketing" subject....
PS : I promise I wont ever again use "effectivement" in one out of 2 of my sentences ;)

Diner with "Les entreprenautes Associés"
I spent a really nice night on tuesday 13. Mathilde (founder of Bagatelles) invited me to join her new group : les entreprenautes associés. I.E. casual dinners gathering young motivated entrepreneurs that started a commercial site or a shop over the Internet... I am NOT talking about 20nagers in suits wanting to become billionaires but people who decided to work for themselves, live the entrepreneur life in a bookstrapping mode. Many of them being women who decided to change their way of life and work after their first child was born.
It was great to meet passionated hard working entrepreneurs such as
- Mathilde from Bagatelles.fr,
- Nathalie from Brocanteo,
- Violette from Mademoiselle-bio.com (cosmectic in an environmental friendly way),
- Bess from Chaussette Online (buy you socks online!),
- Baptiste & Rebecca from Com Boutique (tshirt printing),
- Gilles from Vinivi (portal gathering travels & hotel recommendations),
- Alain from Lulu les chocolats,
- Thibaud (Fotolia)
- Jérôme from http://www.easylifeconseil.com (brands! if you look for another view about how to improve your products, you should contact him...)
- Stéphane from Magicday.fr (I hope we will have time to chat next time)
- Jean-Hubert from Homequest (helping you in the quest of a new flat),
- François from HelloTipi (give your family a blog to keep in touch!),
- Benjamin from BongBuzz,
- Pauline from Letsbuyit (beware the 2000 startup star is comin back)
- and off course the boss of the restaurant Hadrien from L'assassin (nice name for a Restaurant... it means "the murderer" ;) )trying to share tips, ideas,....
Jean-Hubert created this 100% commercial video :), but at least you will be able to put a name on the face listed on the beginning of this post...
PS : a good summary of the party in french here...

Colophon 2007 : International Creative Magazines meet in Luxembourg
Many seems to believe (and wrongly I must say) that Luxembourg is a quiet and lost little place ;) So for those who don't know, Luxembourg has been selected as European HeadCity of the Culture for the Year 2007. This "title" means that an amazing number of great events is happening all around the year.
If you were in the Grand Duchy between the 9 and the 11 of march you could have attempt to one of the most creative event : Colophon 2007. Organised by Mike Koedinger, a Luxembourgish magazine editor and addict (who publishes some of the biggest magazines here in lux : Paperjam, Explorator, ex-Nico, ...), this event had for objective to invite the most creative magazines internationally.
Mission accomplished as I have been able to see.
For 3 days I have been able to talk with editors, designers, illustrators, magazines fanatics from Brazil, Lituania, Asia, France, Netherlands, UK,...
The Casino d'Art Contemporain was hosting most of the event and offering enough space for the participants to move from the conference room to exhibits area...
...to the bar or to a temporary shop (base in the veranda, aka the aquarium) selling an amazing selection of the most creative mag. From content to design it was an amazing occasion to crawl around creativity...
Little Luxembourg really rocks sometimes!!!
